Hello Folks! I’ve ben practicing a little my matte painting skills recently and created a keyframe image which could be used as a base idea for a Sci-Fi shot. I used mainly texture photos and a bit of brushwork where needed to stitch the composition up. It’s been done in about 8 hours.
These is some character design work I did inspired by the theme of papercraft, the first is a Mighty Paper Dragon! Ahem.. and the second one is supposed to be a valiant but a little bit.. Wonky Paper Knight! To realise such monstrosities I used coloured pencils on coloured pastel paper.
Here’s a watercolour sketch I’ve done in my spare time, I’m experimenting with the thickness and thinness of watercolours, combining them in different ways. You also get to see a close-up of my desk, yep best set up for some watercolouring action..
Hope you all enjoy, cheers
I’ve done this after having watched “Howl’s Moving Castle" by the supremely venerable Hayao Miyazaki! Just a little tribute with a scene I imagined would happen to Markl whilst trying out magic as a young apprentice.
Hope you all enjoy it.. Aloha!

Watercolour on 12x16 paper
Watercolour entanglements impressed on a rudimental 4 x 8 pad device, we’re fascinated by its curious shape. Could its form allow it to be easily carried to #quote: -“en plain air”- ?
In this pencil portrait drawing on Moleskine sketchbook I just finished I wanted to give the feeling that the image that you see is in the process of being weaved out, or in, it’s really up to you.
